  1. Fiesta Educativa. This is a bilingual organization with many Spanish language trainings and events. They are having their large annual conference on disabilities and (with several sessions on autism). One day is professional training and the second day is parent education and resources. The dates are Friday June 29 and Saturday, June 30.

  1. Fuerza. This is a primarily Spanish language parent support group for children with all disabilities, that is growing due to the growth of the autism population. It meets monthly. The are having a mini conference in August, Saturday August 25, 8 am to noon.
 
  1. Family Focus Resource and Empowerment Centers has 3 locations. Their mandate is parent education and advocacy. Spanish language education sessions and staff available.
  1. Regional Centers. This is a non-profit agency contracted by the state department of disabilities. Related to autism, they provide no charge services to any child ages 0 to 3 with a delay or suspected disability; no diagnosis required. Age 3 and up, they provide free diagnostic services for autism. The Regional Center is the provider of last resort for the entire lifetime for people with autism, cerebral palsy and mental retardation who qualify. It is a wonderful resource, only found in California.
